The International Cricket Council (ICC) is reportedly considering taking action against Pakistan for misconduct and multiple rule violations during the ongoing Asia Cup. According to reports, Pakistan’s cricket team was found involved in activities that breached tournament regulations, including the filming of restricted areas before their match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already been informed about the issue through an official email sent by ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta. The email highlighted Pakistan’s violations and raised concerns about their conduct during the competition.
The controversy escalated after Pakistan released a video of their interaction with match referee Andy Pycroft, claiming that the referee had apologised to their captain regarding a previous incident. However, the ICC is now reviewing the matter seriously, and action could be taken if the violations are confirmed.
This development has created fresh tension in the Asia Cup, where fair play and discipline are expected to be strictly maintained. Fans and experts are now waiting for an official statement from the ICC regarding possible penalties or sanctions against Pakistan.
