Mahavatar Narsimha : The wait is finally over as the Mahavatar Narsimha OTT release date has been officially confirmed. The animated mythological blockbuster, which stormed the box office earlier this year by grossing over ₹300 crore worldwide, is now set to stream on Netflix from September 19, 2025, at 12:30 PM IST. The platform announced the premiere with a powerful post on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “The roar of this lion can topple a kingdom 🦁💥 Watch Mahavatar Narsimha, out 19 September, 12:30 PM, on Netflix,” instantly creating a buzz among fans. For those who missed the big-screen spectacle, this digital release offers the perfect chance to enjoy its stunning animation and grand storytelling at home.
Directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced by Kleem Productions in association with Hombale Films, Mahavatar Narsimha brings to life the legendary story of Prahlad and the divine appearance of Lord Vishnu’s fierce incarnation, Narsimha, who destroys tyranny to uphold dharma. Speaking about his vision, Kumar shared in an interview that there has long been a gap in Indian cinema for cultural and heritage-driven narratives told at scale. His goal was to present mythology with cinematic grandeur, echoing the voices of ancestors while inspiring future generations. This mission resonated with audiences, turning the film into one of the biggest animated successes in Indian history.
The journey does not end here, as Mahavatar Narsimha also lays the foundation for the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe (MCU), a seven-part franchise that will explore the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu. The upcoming lineup includes Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dhawkadhesh (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), and Mahavatar Kalki (2035–2037), each film promising to expand this interconnected mythological saga. With its Netflix premiere, Mahavatar Narsimha is expected to gain an even larger following, cementing its place as a milestone in Indian animation and sparking excitement for the future installments.
